What to Expect as a Mentor

  • You’ll be matched with up to five mentees at a time, based on your availability.

  • Mentorships are conducted one-on-one  or in a small group for personalized support.

  • RESA® provides communication support via the RESA® App and access to a shared mentor/mentee forum.

  • You’ll participate in six-month mentorship cycles, with rolling cohorts throughout the year.

  • You’ll have access to session templates and can develop your own themes and structure.


Qualifications to Become a RESA® Mentor

The RESA® MentorMatch Program is designed to connect experienced, successful home stagers with new professionals seeking guidance and support. To ensure high-quality mentorship and uphold the integrity of the program, all mentors must meet the following qualifications:

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of active experience in the home staging industry.
  • Proven track record of success, including but not limited to, a strong portfolio of staged properties, leadership within a staging company as well as being financially stable.
  • Must be actively working in the staging industry and staying current with trends and practices.

Professional Credentials

  • Must be a current RESA® Member in good standing with a Membership Level of RESA-PRO® or RESA® Accredited Business™.

The Application Process

  1. Submit Your Application Fee
    A one-time $279 annual participation fee confirms your interest and helps fund mentor program tools and visibility.

  2. Complete the Mentor Profile Form
    You’ll be prompted to fill out a Typeform so we can understand your experience, availability, and mentorship style.

  3. Application Review by RESA® CEO Shell Brodnax
    Shell will personally review your application. If approved, you'll receive an email with the next steps.

  4. Prepare for the RESA® Mentor Designation Test
    You’ll be given access to the RESA® Mentor E-Book and a link to take the test. Once passed, you’ll officially earn your RESA® Approved Mentor™ designation.
